Video Summary
This video provides instructions for applying and removing a radial gutter cast. The cast is applied by first positioning the wrist in extension and the middle and index fingers at a 90-degree angle. Stockinette is cut up the side and slid over the forearm, past the fingers. Cotton padding is then wrapped around the wrist, fingers, and forearm. A fiberglass splint is folded and shaped to fit around the fingers, wrapped with fiberglass tape, and molded to the hand. The cast is finished by folding back the stockinette and wrapping with a color roll. To remove the cast, it is cut along the top and bottom following the lines drawn in the video.
