Casting - Short Arm Cast Removal

Use an in-and-out motion with the cast saw to avoid building up heat. Turn the arm so the palm is facing up and begin with the cast saw at the top  of the cast near the elbow and cut a line up to the hand.  Turn the arm over so the palm is facing down and cut a line from the top of the cast near the elbow up to the hand.  Use cast spreaders to spread the cast open on both sides of the arm where you made the cut lines. Using scissors, cut through the stockinette and padding along the cut line.
