Splinting - Thumb Spica Splint

Thumb Spica Splint  Remove the thumb spica from the box and loosen the Velcro.  Have the patient lift their arm and place the thumb spica around the thumb, reapplying the Velcro snug to fit.  Examine the brace, trimming any excess strap with scissors, and ensure there is nothing irritating the patient.
