AAOE Hot Topic: From Collaborate to Implementation: Real-World Practice Dashboard for KPIs & Payor Tracking
Description
This session was inspired by a real question from AAOE’s Collaborate community—proof that the best ideas often start with a simple conversation. When a fellow member asked for help creating internal dashboards for practice metrics and payor contract tracking, another member stepped up to share their solution.

In this Hot Topic webinar, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the actual dashboard used by Advanced Bone & Joint to monitor KPIs across departments and timelines. Built in Excel, this dynamic, color-coded scorecard provides an at-a-glance performance summary, goal tracking, and clear visibility into financial and operational benchmarks.

Whether you’re just getting started with your own dashboard project or looking to refine what you already have, you’ll walk away with practical tips and a format you can adapt for your own practice.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Explore how one orthopedic practice built and uses an internal KPI dashboard to drive performance and accountability across teams.
  2. Understand how to leverage conditional formatting and monthly data tracking in Excel to visualize progress toward strategic goals.
  3. Gain ideas and inspiration for launching or refining your own internal dashboards based on a real-world example shared through AAOE Collaborate.
